Jesús Balandrano Ramírez is an artist and future art therapist from the Westside of Santa Bárbara, CA. His work moves through text, sound, and digital media to explore the emotional layers of relationships. Often beginning with a phrase or feeling from lived experience, he builds around its energy to reflect moments of connection.
His practice also reaches into electronic and dance-driven sounds that emphasize movement and atmosphere. Across mediums, his work holds space for vulnerability, memory, and the shifting boundaries between inner and outer experience.
He holds a B.A. in Art and Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and curated Nuanced Peoples: Exploring Latinx Identities, an exhibition highlighting layered Latinx perspectives. He has worked in educational and after-school settings providing culturally responsive support and creating spaces for self-expression. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Marital and Family Therapy with a specialization in Art Therapy at Loyola Marymount University.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys an adventure and listening to electro pop.
