Jesús Balandrano Ramírez is an artist and future art therapist from the Westside of Santa Bárbara, CA. His work explores the emotional layers of relationships through text, drawing, and digital media. He often starts with a word or phrase from a memorable interaction and builds around its energy, using texture and storytelling to reflect moments of connection.
He holds a BA in Art and Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and has curated Nuanced Peoples: Exploring Latinx Identities, an exhibition highlighting layered Latinx perspectives. He has worked in educational and after-school spaces providing culturally responsive support and creating space for self-expression. He is currently pursuing an MFT with a specialization in Art Therapy at Loyola Marymount University.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys going on walks and listening to electro pop.
